Pensam is a real estate developer seeking to create a remarkable new active adult living experience. The number of places available for active adults is slim and quite frankly can make people feel like they are checking into a nursing home. Airie was an opportunity for Pensam to develop a community for adults who were looking to downsize without sacrificing the amenities they love or feeling like they were “over the hill.”

We worked with TBD Innovation and led the research efforts, which led to fundamental insights to articulate Pensam’s values and the residents’ ideal experience. With this foundation, our team helped create design principles and concepts to guide the principal architecture firm and managers, who oversaw the property’s development and resident experience.
